As the sole person running my business, I often find juggling all the demands overwhelming. I’ve previously benefited from limited marketing mentoring support from Red Button Marketing, which helped me focus on one aspect of my business and move forward in a more manageable way. With their guidance, and a paid marketing service (The Spark Labs), I was able to secure an almost sell‑out booking for a series of mental capacity workshops. These were very well received and led to further leads and opportunities for development. Despite this success, I’ve found it difficult to secure sincere, genuine professional business support that is affordable for a relatively new, small business like mine. Much of my journey so far has been trial and error. To survive and thrive in business, I know I would benefit greatly from a regular, safe network of people where I can manage the isolation of being a business owner and gain much‑needed support from like‑minded individuals. I particularly value meeting people face to face, as it breaks up working online and is so important for building effective business relationships. I would also really value help with maintaining a positive mindset. Working alone can easily lead to burnout as I try to cope with my workload and business development single‑handedly. It’s easy to lose my way and slip into self‑sabotage, instead of staying focused on clear priorities and set tasks. A business clinic drop‑in or supportive network that I can draw upon as my business progresses would be incredibly valuable in helping me cope with ongoing challenges. Feeling genuinely supported, and being able to speak to people I can trust to provide professional guidance, would make a real difference to me and my business.
